Strong adjectives

Los adjetivos llamados "Strong" son los que dan una idea de que algo es "muy" lo que sea, frente a los llamados adjetivos BASE, que están en grado positivo, sin graduar:

tired                                      exhausted (very tired)
good                                     fantastic, excellent, perfect
angry                                    furious
hungry                                  starving.  It is intolerable because populations, and children
                                                             in particular, are starving and are in vital need of aid
small                                    tiny
big                                       enormous, huge
afraid                                   terrified
good, nice, tasty (food)       delicious
cold                                      freezing
dirty                                     filthy          It is a "dark place," meaning we live in a dirty, filthy world
happy                                  delighted      I was delighted with the results
funny                                   hilarious
sure                                      positive, certain
surprised                              amazed
clever                                   brillant
bad                                       awful, terrible

Cuando los queramos cuantificar debemos recordar que un Adj, base lleva delante "very" o "really", pero no "absolutely": It is very/really small, un adj. strong lleva "absolutely","really", "completely", pero no "very": It is really/absolutelly  tiny
