- para comparar gente o cosas: She's AS tall AS me now
- para hablar de cómo algo suena, siente, parece...: AS IF (como si): it looks as if  it's going to snow

1. Agree + TO + inf.+ something: He has agreed to work late next week 
   Refuse : Children refused to go to bed

REGLA NEMOTÉCNICA:  When he told me to clean my room, I ask him to go out but he persuade/convince me to rest. So I encourage/invited him to go out, but he remind me the doctor had advised/warn me to rest.O SEA: You ask, tell, remind me to warn, advise and I persuade, convince, invite, encourage ME TO

3. Insist ON + -ING: I intisted on paying for the meal
   Accuse sb OF: She accused me of trying to steal her boyfriend
   Blame sb FOR: He blamed us for losing the match
   Apologize (to SB) FOR: I apologized  to Her for not remembering her birthday
   Recommend: She recommended me trying yoga
   Admit: The man admitted stealing the woman's handbag
   Regret: I've always regretted not having gone to univerity
   Suggest: He suggested going for a walk
   Deny: My neighbour denies damaging my car

REGLA: When you accused me of doing, you blame me for doing, but then you have to apologize to me for doing and you insist me on doing. But I don't admit doing, so I refuse doing and you suggest doing but you don't regret doing.

Los verbos subrayados (agree, promise, admit, regret, deny) se pueden usar con THAT seguidos de la cláusula oracional.

Pasiva

Have/get something done = me hago hacer algo
Hay un uso de la pasiva en inglés que se utiliza cuando alguien hace algo por nosotros como hacernos una foto, cortarnos el pelo, arreglarnos un electrodoméstico...
I took a photo of  Coliseo = Hice una foto
pero
I had my photo taken in Coliseo = Me hice una foto en el Coliseo (le dije a alguien que me la hiciera)
I'm going to have/get my hair cut tomorrow = me voy a cortar el pelo mañana (pero no te lo cortas tú, sino el peluquero, es decir, te lo vas a hacer cortar)
